About the Battle on the Bricks
Top-level sports car racing on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course began with the Brickyard Grand Prix in 2012, and the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returned to the venue in 2023 as the Battle on the Bricks. The race expanded to a six-hour endurance format in 2024 and 2025 before a scheduled return to a 2-hour-40-minute sprint for 2026.
