About the Bank of America 400
Charlotte's fall playoff race ran on the "Roval" — a hybrid of the road course and the oval — from 2018 through 2025, debuting as the Cup Series' first playoff race on a road-style layout, with Ryan Blaney winning the inaugural edition. It served as the Round of 12 elimination race for most of its run. After eight Roval editions, the 2026 fall race returns to Charlotte's 1.5-mile oval as the Bank of America 400.
