About the Indianapolis 8 Hour Finale
The Indianapolis 8 Hour was first run in 2020 as the successor to the California 8 Hours, bringing the Intercontinental GT Challenge's United States round to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course — the first endurance sports car race held at the venue. It doubles as the GT World Challenge America season finale.
By winning in 2025, Valentino Rossi became the first competitor to win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on both a motorcycle and in a car.
