About the GTWC America at Barber
GT World Challenge America descends from the SCCA's World Challenge, a professional championship that took that name in 1990; the SRO Motorsports Group acquired the series in 2018 and gave it its current identity. It fields FIA GT3-specification cars in Pro and Pro-Am competition, and beginning in 2026 race weekends move from two 90-minute races to a single three-hour race.
