First run in 2008, the Jim Ford Classic honors the former driver and car owner from Elmore, Ohio who revived Fremont Speedway in 2000 and promoted it until stepping down in 2007. It has grown into one of the richest events at Fremont, which marks its 75th anniversary season in 2026. Cap Henry swept both nights of the 18th annual running in 2025.
