The Tulsa Shootout, founded by Emmett Hahn in 1985, is the world's largest micro sprint event, run indoors on a clay oval at Tulsa's SageNet Center over the days surrounding New Year's. The finale, known as Driller Day, crowns a Golden Driller winner in each class — the trophy is a replica of Tulsa's landmark Golden Driller statue. The 41st running in January 2026 set records with 2,079 entries and 851 drivers from 43 states and six countries, completing 433 races over five days.
