Super Formula is Japan's top single-seater championship, tracing its lineage to 1973 — the 2025 season was its 53rd — with all drivers racing identical Dallara chassis powered by Honda or Toyota engines. Suzuka Circuit, the famous figure-eight track opened in 1962, traditionally decides the title at the season finale; in 2025 Ayumu Iwasa (Team Mugen) clinched his first championship there by 4.5 points over defending champion Sho Tsuboi.

Suzuka Circuit is a permanent racing facility in Mie Prefecture, Japan, opened in 1962 and designed by John Hugenholtz. It is operated by Honda Mobilityland and hosts the Formula One Japanese Grand Prix.
