First held in 1983, when Pat Patrick led 60 laps to collect a $4,000 payday, the North/South 100 has grown into one of dirt Late Model racing's crown jewels and the richest event in Florence Speedway history. The 100-lapper is run on the half-mile high-banked clay oval in Union, Kentucky as a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showcase.
