First run in 1971, the World 100 at Eldora Speedway is widely regarded as dirt Late Model racing's most prestigious race, contested annually on the half-mile clay oval in Rossburg, Ohio. The inaugural winner collected $3,000; by 2025 the 100-lap feature paid $72,000 to win before a sold-out crowd.

Victory in the World 100 is considered the sport's defining achievement, drawing the largest entry lists and crowds in dirt Late Model racing.

Eldora Speedway is a half-mile dirt oval in western Ohio with corners banked at 24 degrees, built by promoter Earl Baltes in 1954 and owned since 2004 by three-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart. It hosts some of dirt racing's biggest events.
